Webinar: Strategies for Advancing Economic Mobility: Empowering Rural Workers and Learners

Chambers have increasingly explored strategies that support communities in adapting to the new realities of work. In rural areas, where significant disparities exist in access to available resources, chambers have taken innovative approaches to close these gaps and create more equitable economic growth.

In this webinar, viewers heard key learnings from ACCE Foundation’s Economic Mobility for Rural Workers cohort. Over the past two years, the cohort piloted creative strategies to support rural workers and learners in more equitably accessing pathways to economic mobility.

Cohort participants, representing rural communities across the U.S., discussed the challenges and successes they encountered, as well as actionable strategies they implemented to place low-income rural learners in sustainable, high-paying jobs. The conversation highlighted how these communities addressed disparities in data collection, strengthened employer partnerships, and increased access to critical resources across their regions.
