Partnering with Higher Education to Support Economic Mobility

Many chambers today are working with their community's higher education partners to solve workforce challenges, increase access to good jobs and promote economic mobility.

For those chambers interested in doing the same in their own communities, the ACCE Foundation presents its latest training series, Partnering with Higher Education to Support Economic Mobility. Over the course of this multi-part series, chambers will gain resources and strategies needed to collaborate with community partners to improve economic mobility. This series will also provide the necessary tools to achieve more equitable and inclusive outcomes for businesses, workforce and local economies. Topics include:

• Case-making for stronger alignment of ecosystems partners
• Considering how data can inform decision-making and guide strategic decisions for addressing equity gaps
• Identifying key conditions and barriers that maintain complex systemic challenges
• Recognizing ecosystem partners and how collective roles can shape the learner experience

This series is encouraged for chambers just beginning this type of work or those currently leveraging ecosystem partnerships to support broader workforce goals. Each lesson is designed as abbreviated trainings with supplemental exercises to ensure participants gain actionable tools to jumpstart conversations among local partners or advance existing efforts.

For additional support, webinars will be hosted to explore various concepts further. Join these sessions live to troubleshoot with ACCE Foundation staff and learn from your peers or view the recordings made available within this training series. The next live session, "Exploring the Learner's Journey and Roles of Community Partners," will be hosted on February 20.
