2026 Fall Designing Employer-Driven Career Pathways Bootcamp
Employers are struggling with skill misalignment, weak retention and no clear way to show workers how to grow. Educators can't align training to real local opportunities. Chambers are uniquely positioned to bring stakeholders together to revamp or build career pathways that are useful for employers, current employees, future candidates and education providers. This training gives you the framework to lead the work.
Career pathways map progression from entry-level to higher-skill roles, clarify which competencies matter and show how skills transfer across jobs. When chambers lead these efforts by leveraging trusted relationships with partners, pathways boost retention and recruiting, make training investments more targeted and help employers plan for future skill needs, while creating tangible member value and positioning chambers for sustainable revenue through pathway-based services.
The Designing Employer-Driven Career Pathways training is designed to help chambers:
- Collaborate with businesses to document roles, skills, credentials and transition points
- Build accessible pathway visuals that support employers, job seekers and educators
- Guide employers on using pathways to strengthen talent pipelines and retention
- Update pathways as in-demand careers and industries change
This training is for you if you are:
- Building new career pathways
- Upgrading existing career pathways
- Working to connect skills, credentials and salary data to local job opportunities in your region
- Looking for a structured framework before engaging employer and education partners
