The Complete Skills-Based Hiring Lifecycle Training (May— June 2026)

The ACCE Foundation, with support from the The Rework America Alliance: A Jobs for the Future Initiative, presents a learning series designed to equip chamber staff to coach local businesses on skills-based hiring, a talent recruitment strategy where companies identify skills needed to fill open positions and reduce bias.

Each of the eight, 90-minute weekly sessions will focus on various elements of this talent recruitment strategy, with a review of key concepts, small group activities and limited homework. Sessions will include group discussions, learning activities and data-supported casemaking on the following topics:

  • How to develop job descriptions
  • Sourcing candidates
  • Building an interview process
  • Screening and evaluating candidates
  • Onboarding
  • Employee development, retention and promotion

By gaining a foundation of the entire skills-based hiring lifecycle, participants can upgrade their area's talent attraction practices and can consider how to use their knowledge to form a non-dues revenue opportunity for their chamber.

The series will meet on Tuesdays from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. ET on the following dates:

  • May 5
  • May 12
  • May 19
  • May 26
  • June 2
  • June 9
  • June 16
  • June 23.

Registration is limited to 25 participants. Questions about the training? Contact foundation@acce.org.
