Certificate in Chamber Management | Membership and Revenue Development
Membership and revenue development are cornerstones of most dues-related organizations, including chambers of commerce. As business models continue to evolve, resilient and diversified funding streams are also key to their long-term financial health and impact. In this course, learn how to recruit, engage and retain chamber members and create non-dues revenue streams to ensure organizational sustainability. Gain insights into topics including messaging for the next generation, the importance of recruiting based on the individual motivations of prospective members, engagement and retention strategies, and ways to demonstrate ROI even when members cannot attend events. Sessions also cover sales of sponsorships and non-dues revenue products and provide an overview of chamber foundations and fundraising. Presented by Shari Pash, Membership and Growth Strategist, Strategic Solutions for Growth; and Cathi Hight, President, Hight Performance Group.
This course includes approximately four hours of content and provides support for skills and competencies within the Chamber Body of Knowledge areas of Membership Recruitment and Retention and Development of Revenue Sources. Short assessments are included after each presentation, and short written assignments are also assigned for some sessions.
Please note:
- Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion, shareable social graphics and three Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) points. Courses must be completed within one year of purchase to receive CCE points.
- Assignment and assessment grading, along with certificate awards, take place every Friday for all tasks completed within the preceding week.
